Disappearing calendar appointments

Exchange 2000, outlook 98 clients, all sp'ed up
outlook calendars shared out for reviewer to over 40 people, now starting to get appointments disappear, then maybe a couple of days later they reappear!!!

Anyone got any ideas, I have removed user error as I have now seen it with my own eyes!

I had a similar problem. A user would post something on a shared calendar and within a few seconds it would disappear. Owner of calendar could still see entry. Fixed permissions on shared calendar and it fixed the problem.

If it is a shared calendar, it will be a permissions issue.

If it is a local calendar, try this lot in START, RUN on the client PC:

outlook / resetviews
outlook / cleanfreebusy
outlook / resetfolders
outlook / cleanschedplus

See if those cure the problem.

Hi all,

One of my clients is facing the same issue too. They have a lot of mailboxes created not for receiving emails, but used as resources for calendaring booking.

Server is Exchange 2000 on Win2k Server.

Whenever the user book a BOARDROOM-Resource using the calendar, "Attend Invitees", select the senders and the resources, the user's own calendar would reflect the booking at his own calendar.

However, when the user view the calendar of the BOARDROOM-Resource from his MS Outlook (File | Open | Other User's Folder), he's unable to locate the booking.

Pls advise.Thks.

What are the items to check on what had went wrong?
