Hi All:

We just setup Exchange 2000 server and OWA that came with it, it works great however, we dont want everyone with a mail box to use the OWA feature, is there a quick and easy way we can setup this and able to change back to allow everything to do OWA, once we have better server resource (i.e when we are able to setup OWA front-end server and then secure it)

Thanks

To use OWA the users must have "Log on Locally" rights to the Mail server hosting OWA. Make a group that explicitly denies that right, then stick all the people who you don't want to use it in the group, or take away the right and add a people you want to use it to a group that has the right.

open ad users and computers. click view and click on advanced features.

select the users you wish to remove owa from bring up the properties, click on "exchange advanced", click "protocol settings" select http and disable it for the user
