I'm trying to install a new graphics card (Radeon). Having difficulties because I need to disable the monitor display that came on my computer. Is this something I can do at home or must I take it to a real technician?

Have a look look in the bios, there usally is a setting to turn it off some where

On modern computers, the on-board graphics card usually will disable itself, but if not then the bios would be your best bet. My suggestion would be to first make sure the video card is in properly. Many of the video problems that my family and friends have is usually caused by simply not pushing in the card all the way.
