I have a CD-R with TIFF files on it and the TIFF files are set to open with Microsoft Imager.

When I right click and want to print, the Photo Wizard opens!

I have no problem when I actually open the image and print with it.

I see in this other thread there were no answers. Just checking to see if there were answers now or if this is yet another Microsoft Miracle!?

Thank you for your time.

Not sure what your problem actually is...does this behavior bother you? It is standard for XP.

If you want to open the file with another program, the way to reassociate that file type is to right-click on the file and click Open With, click Choose Program, and choose your graphics or photo program from the list or browse to the executable. MAKE SURE you check the box at bottom that says "always use the selected program..." That will reassociate the file type to your chosen software.

The problem is that when I want to right click on the image and print it, the Photo Wizard comes on. Not acceptable. I just want it to print like it does when I open the image.

Yes, I have done all this. The Photo Wizard still comes up when I right click on the image and go to print. If I open the image and print it, it does just fine since the Photo Wizard does not open.

What can be done with the Photo Printing Wizard's main file "photowiz.dll"? Perhaps adjusting all the Security Permissions of this dll, for Users, Administrators, System, etc. to Deny Read access is something you could try?
