We are school and at times need to restrict/ban students email access for various reasons. Does anyone know of a way to this. We are using Exchange server 2000 with Outlook 2000 as the client. The workstations are win 2000 pro. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Steve.

You could set a rule in a firewall to block the ports at certain times.
I use Tiny Personal Firewall and have used Sygate in the past and it's possible to set up this kind of rule in both of them.

This will allow the eMail client to be used, but prevent msgs being sent or received - or do you want to deny access to the client?

HTH - Phil.
