How to disable WINS replication on NT 4.0 server? We want to remove another DC from our network & disable WINS replication for that server. Will this process affect our users operations. Any one tried this before? Pls. share your views.
Thanks in advance.

You would have defined which BDC to replicate WIN's data to in WIN's itself. If you are running a static network , then point all your clients to the primary WIN's server and shut down the BDC in question. If you are DHCP, remove the WIN's host info in DHCP options (if you have defined it all) and shutdown the BDC in question. But no you shouldn't have any issues.

Remove the WINS server from the primary WINS server's "push/pull" settings. This will stop replication. It will effect your users if there is not enough WINS servers to handle the load, or if there are not enough domain controllers to handle the load as well.
Like Geek says, make sure your clients don't point to that WINS server anymore. ________________________________________
