I want to disable the "Getting Started with Windows 2000" dialog that pops up on my machines any time a new user logs in. MS has a "solution" in their knowledge base (), but it doesn't work for me. Specifically, the REG_DWORD value that they say should be there is not there. I tried adding it, but that didn't work, either. I would appreciate if anyone else could let me know if it works for them, or another way to do it. Thanks.

My bad- I was loading the ntuser.dat from the All Users folder instead of Default User. It works when you follow directions. [blush]

I'm trying this but when I enter "ntuser" for the key name, I'm getting a "Insufficient privilege to load the key" error. I'm logged in as the administrator so I should have full rights, right? ???
