Hi.

In Internet Explorer, click on Tools > Internet Options. Select the Security tab and click on Custom Level. Then click on Disable under File download. Attempting to download anything but specific web content thereafter will trigger the following Security Alert: "Your security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded."

thanks PhilB, but that is the workstation part..lets say you have more than 200 computers. Wouldnt be great to find a way to do it from the NT 4.0 Server?
I think NT 4 doenst have that choice..
Thanks a lot anyway.. A+, MCP, CCNA

Hmmmmm. there's be a registry key that sets this - if you can find the key then REGEDIT /S file.reg will load the registry file into the registry silently without prompting..... You've given me an idea - I may try to implement this here also......

Im off home - Its half past five!!

heyup,

I manage 350 workstations at college and have just the registry hack for you. It is in the form of an adm template as I use system policy.

I will post the registry setting tomorrow evening when I return home from work.

F1 , let me ask you something, how can i import just one key of the registry to a file and then import it to the registry. I only see the option of "the whole registry" not a particular key. A+, MCP, CCNA
