Disable _root? 1

Hey!
Is there a way to disable every movie clip in the movie except for one (i.e. When someone hist a registration button, a message box will come up saying "Registration Succesfull", and all the buttons on the registration page are disabled? Can you just say

_root.enabled = false

?&quot Some of you may have seen this on Macromedia.com before.

You want the buttons disabled or enabled?

Well, what I mean is when you hit "register", that button will stay there, but a box will come up over it that says "complete". I want to disable everything but the box that comes up in one line of code. Is that possible?

If everything (you wanted disabled) was re-grouped within one movie clip, you could probably call a function (as the one I posted here: thread250-744278 ), that would disabled all buttons, strings, movie clips, etc... In that movie clip.
