In Exchange 5.5 you could do a directory export and import for bulk mailboxes/users. I have an exchange 5.5 server in a different Organization that I need to import all the Distribution lists from. There are a couple hundred of these things so doing it by hand wouldn't be my first choice.

Can you do a bulk directory import into exchange 2003? Is there another, better method? All suggestions welcome.

Thanks
Scott

ADC can help you, but it would require you to setup a mixed environment with both machines in the same organisation.

Maybe mailmig.exe is able to help you too. Haven't used that.

These servers are not in the same org, and they won't be. I need a way to import a large number of entries into AD/Exchange. There has to be a way. Even if it's not using the same exported file, I don't want to put these things in one at a time!! Someone please help. Any suggestions for importing or scripting something?

You can use ADMT which you will find on the Windows 2003 server CD or get the latest version from here:

Some instructions on use of the tool can be found here:

If preserving SID history be sure to look at this too:

I hope you find this post helpful.
