I was asked how difficult it would be to route all 411 and XXX-555-1212 calls to a directory assistance service (one number).

Does anyone have any ideas how this can be accomplished on Nortel's Meridian PBX? We have 11Cs, 61Cs and 81Cs.

The 411 is a piece of cake but the 1XXX-555-1212 has me stumped. I have thought of using FCAS tables but you can only put 15 NPA entries in one table. I also thought of adding (in LD 90)1XXX 5 but then I would also have to add 9 other entries for each NPA to cover 1XXX 0 thru 4 and 1XXX 6 thru 9. Also, this assumes that any other combination of 1XXX 5XX would be treated as a directory assistance call.

Hope someone out there has a quick easy solution.

thanks in advance
Kevin

create a phantom 500 port. Remove 411 from your programming and create a 411 500 set. Set the DCFW to 1XXX5551212 and it should go.

If you have plenty of acdns then just program an acdn to ncfw to your number.

Another method is in each NPA under the SDRR LDID 555. You will need to assign a DMI table to manipulate the number to where you want it to go. LDID can be full 7 digits 5551212.
NPA 1XXX
RLI XX
SDRR LDID 555
DMI xx
ITEI NONE

DMI XX
DEL 11
INST 91800XXXXXXX
