I have two computers.
Win98se
and
Win ME

I connected a network cable between them both.

I went into Network Neighborhood and made the following changes.

Added Netbeui
Changed client to Microsoft for Networks
Changed Computer name to make them both different
same workgroup name
selected File and Print sharing.

I'm still not connecting. Do you know what I might have forgotten to do or what I may have done wrong?

Thank you
Paul

Try adding TCP/IP on both. Set 1 as 192.168.1.1 and the other as 192.168.1.2. Set subnet mask on both as 255.255.255.0. Let me know if this helps. When in Network neighborhood type \\(computername)
where (computername is the name of the computer you are trying to get to. Can you connect? James Collins
