Digital recording solution for VOIP and TDM?

We have a Nortel CSE 1000 with around 600 stations about 20 agent that have an old school handset splitter recording solution that records audio input via the local PC sound card. We are looking at some VOIP recording solutions and I am wondering if anyone has good/ bad feedback in this area? Also we are conscious of home users that do not necessarily have stable enough ISP broadband service to support 8 hr per day, day in and day out reliability to run a 2050 VOIP soft phone client so wondering if some of these solutions also support some sort of TDM dial in/ conference solution to get an offsite call recorded? I know there are plenty of call center agent scenarios that have to record everything so we are small potatoes here and hoping someone can give me a recipe for good solution without us trying 2-3 dead ends.
