I'm running Win XP familly edition. Normally, when you hook up your Digital camera, in this case a Toshiba PDR-M700, via the USB port XP should recognize it but nothing happens. Any ideas ? (Did install the software that came with it.)
Is the camera turned on when you connect?. This is usually a must. I know nothing about your camera but sometimes the camera not only needs to be on but must also be in review mode (not picture taking mode).
Yes, did try that and other combinations (off then plug, plug then on, on then plug, view mode, video record mode, picture taking mode, etc...) I can't seem to figure out this one. If you or anyone have an idea, please let me know.
When you have plugged it in have you checked My Computer to see if it has added the Camera as a device you can read from? It may just be that XP is not throwing up it nice software to copy the images from the camera but is detecting it. If it is detecting it then it should be possible to re-enable the software.
