I have an ISA digi board on a box that used to run unix. Now I am changing this box to a windows 9X machine no big deal right. If I remove the digi board the PC will not post, but if I replace the ISA digi board it will post just fine up to the new HDD. So I believe it to be a jumper on to motherboard itself, It is an old GA-586atm/p, I have searched on for specs. or something that would help me find the right jumper setting.

Any help will be appreciated

Going to be a GA issue. And you will probably find some more issues down the line. Do yourself a favor and get a more industry standard M/B. GA built them special so it would be hard to replace with off the shelf products. Ed Fair
