Differences between 2.*.* and 1.3.35 versions

Hi all

As an Apache newbie am unable to install version 2.*.* on a Win XP Pro SP2 box, 'unable to bind to port 80' or similarly worded errors.

Wondering therefore as to the significant differences between version 1.3.35 and 2.*.*, especially as to the use of PHP?

Problem resolved with install of version 2.*.* - was unaware you need to add port 80 to the Win XP firewall exceptions.

Had assumed incorrectly Apache would do this unaided.
