Did anybody use Netbackup Professional before?

The Netbackup Professional is for centralise desktop backup and I would like to confirm if the current NETBACKUP SERVER product is for centralise server backup.

If it is for centralise server backup, does it still got similar function to the Netbackup Professional that there will be some sort of 'common' image storing when multiple server has got the same files, etc, etc

There are several flavours of NetBackup such as datacenter or enterprise. These are for Server backups, and they can be centraliesd or local. But for true local backup BackupExc is the one you need.

Not sure what you mean by the last bit of your question. Are you asking if the image list is stored and accessable from one location then yes.

As far as I know, the new Desktop/Laptop agent for Netbackup is basically Netbackup Pro (works the same way)except you now control it from within the centalised NBU console rather than as a totally seperate product.

For the second part are you asking the question about 'duplicate' files in that if the file already exists from another users backup then will it skip that file?
