I've got several machines connected to a router. They can ping each other but they can't see each other's filespaces.

When they were on a switch, they could see each other but all the internet connections had to be shared through one machine.

Is it possible to get the router to act as a switch/hub as well? It behaves like a DHCP server and allocates addresses but that is about as far as it goes.

Thanks - I'll try those things out when I get on site.
