DID outbound calling

I don't know if this applies to all revs, but it worked on mine.

When adding/changing a DID line, in this case a fax. The fax was able to receive just not send calls. I tried dialing 9, and programming 9 into the device. Neither worked, with the system giving the waive off tone.

Solution:
within the disp sta <xxxx> type cha abbr per <xxxx> where xxxx is the station number in question.
add a 9 to the 01 position of the abbr dial plan. It forces a 9 into the dial string allowing inbound & outbound calls.
