DID options

Hi all, I am looking to provide DID service to a small branch office with about 10 users with a g350/s8300lsp. The main office is a S8500. I could use DID numbers off the main office for the remote but the branch office is in a different city and area code so this would create some confusion. What I would like to do is have local DID numbers coming into the branch office without having to install a PRI into the branch office. I believe I could install a couple of analog DID circuits but would like to avoid that if possible as I am worried about echo and such (we will use IP phones and our IP network back to the main office). Any ideas on providing DID to small branches? We are in SBC territory of USA.

I installed a local pri isdn t1 with local service and did numbers... I opted to go with the T1 because of cost.. I was going to install local DID trunks but the cost of the t1 was cheaper on a monthly basis. the echo is not a problem for us.. just the wan / vpn bandwidth ... so, If you plan to use IP telephone is that you need to make sure that you toss alot of bandwidth to support your telephony requirements.

You might consider using an alternate carrier, e.g. Focal that can provide remote (foreign) DID blocks in another city for only $50/month plus the T1 charges. Worked perfectly for me to keep the old DIDs when my ofice moved 20 miles away. SBC wanted to charge me outrageous call forwaring + measured charges for all the incoming numbers. On my switch, I translated the old DIDs to the new ones.
