Dialog Box missing 1

When a device is plugged in to my XP machine a Dialog Box stating "What Do You Want Windows To Do?" usually appears with choices to action. This no longer happens! Have searched MS knowledge Base and cannot find an answer to this annoying, but small problem. Any ideas please, to retrieve this useful box?

My Computer - choose the item (USB or whatever) you are having questions about - properties - Autoplay tab - select "Do Nothing". Check any rempvable drives, make sure they are all "Do Nothing". Now, you will be asked what you want to do. In the future, make sure, when you choose an action, that the "always" box isn't checked.

Thanks Micker377 - I will try your solution in a few days when I am again at my PC. Also, I have just found another possible solution at kellys-korner with a "reg" file entitled "openwithrestore.reg"
Will report back next weekend.

The Kelly .reg fix is for Folder properties.
micker377 is on the right track:
. Double click My Computer
. Right-click the device of interest, Properties
. Click the AutoPlay tab
. click the radio button: "Prompt me each time to take an action"

OK, I have attempted the My Computer/Properties/Autoplay fix, BUT a right click on the removable Device (USB Memory card reader)causes XP Pro to do a quick reboot. I am now thinking about doing an "upgrade" install over the top, with my slipstreamed XP/SP2 disk.
