Hi,

Please could someone remind me how you set up the system so that the end user can make local calls without dialling the full CLI.

For example the customer is based in London and would like to be able to dial without pressing 020 each time.

Thanks in advance,

You haven't stated what type of line and carrier you have.

Can you dial directly from the lines without the area code .

Some carriers require the full std code, so speak to them first.

BT lines don't normally need the area code if you are in the same local area.
But for calls out side of the area you need the code

Any systems I do don't need any thing special .

You can use short codes with the leading digits of the local number in the ARS table.
Insert the 020 as part of the dialing string

Ok thankyou, they are sip lines

please can someone kindly give an example of how the ARS entry for a call without the 020 should look.

Many Thanks,

Jimbo you may have a problem with sip lines

They usually need the carrier code.
Contact your sip provider and see if they allow local dialling without the std code.

A shortcode would simply be something like

(Assuming a 9 for line access)

98N
Dial
0208N
Line Group X

| ACSS SME |

There is no 9 prefix to dial out so how would we change the ars entry above

I assume that if you competent enough to work with IP Office you should be able to adapt Pepp77's example to do it without 9 prefix.

Ok so I take it I just remove the 9 and enter 8n.

This still wouldn't cover them for 0207 and 0203 numbers so should I repeat the same process again for these numbers with 8n at the top?

The logic speaks for itself.
I think writing that question and waiting for an answer took longer than actually trying it yourself, no offence but it feel like people are getting lazy.

exactly everyone wants you guys to figure it out for them instead of them doing their own research

I'm sure you can set up shortcodes and a button for dialing no? I'm pretty new to this but shortcodes and button configs can be used for many tasks.
