We have three remote non-Nortel sites. All have DID. I would like to be able to tell my users to dial 71 and the 4 digits for site A, 72 for site B, 73 for site C. Drop the two digits and insert the appropriate area code and exchange. I think that I have the DNB, the SPN and the DMI setup, but could someone point me to a cookie-cutter document or post some clear instructions to get me the rest of the way? Thanks!

if your dn's are unique, you can just have the users dial the the remote dn.. i never liked adding 71,72.etc to a dial plan, but you do that in ld 87 new cdp.. before you start that ld, go to 86 and add a dgt, delete 2 insert 1xxx434 with your dial string, you don't need the 9, you'll be putting the call direct to a route.. then still in 86 add a rlb/rli/entry 0.. all that does is give you a rlb number, plus add the correct dgt, and pick the route as well as give you a frl (ncos block) if needed.. then in 87 new cdp, dcs, 71 and point it to the rlb you just built.. i usually test by building a temp rlb deleting 2 (71) and adding my 3 digit nxx.. so i can dial 714940 and reach xxx4940.. in that case i did the delete two and just added the nxx... try it, if you get stuck repost, one of us will jump on it... btw that's the only way to learn

OK, now whats the recommendation for building the CDP in LD 86 ESN? It looks to me like I would have 3 steering codes for MXSC, 71, 72 and 73. I would have 6 digits for NCDP, the 7X plus the 4 digits. Am I on the right track?

you've got the basic picture.. one dgt and one rlb plus a cdp/dsc per site
