I am trying to dial in to my Merlin Magix system through Winspm with no success. Here is what I am doing.

I have a dedicated fax line in my office that is not hooked into the Merlin. I have my modem plugged into this line.

I have winspm site set up with connection type external.
enabled is checked and in the dial string is the main number coming into the Merlin. (2 lines coming in)

When the phone rings, (4424D+) I answer, push trnsfr, dial *10 and trnsfr again. Console shows "Call transfered" then nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

EXTERNAL" means that your WINSPM Program is going to send a sequence of numbers to get to the Modem in the Phone System.

What you are attempting could best be done using the "MANUAL" set up.

Thanks Merlinman> Will give that a try when I get back to the office.
