dialin user connects but cant access mappings

hi

got a problem where a remote user dials in and connects - he is authenticated and i cna see him in rasman as well as servman - but he cant access any of his mapped drives?
the only way i could get him in was to remove all rpc connections and and then map a drive using a different account. i have recreated his account but still no joy.
any ideas?
