Dial up settings keep resetting.

Hi all:
I have a new laptop with a clean install of XP (SP1). I have run a Virus Scan and Spyware checkers and ... It is clean! I have set the dial up to work only when no Lan is available. The problem is at random times it will try to dial up. Sometimes when I open IE, Log off and Log in, or reboot. If at that time I go and check the Dial up settings I find they have changed from what I want them set to.
Any ideas on how to lock the settings?

I had a similar one where a sneaky dial up program kept reinstalling itself. I resolved it by leaving the DUN it created but I changed the number to a non exsistent number then recreated my original one and made that the default.Im not sure if that is the issue you have.Im certain you have a trojan on the sytem.

I found the solution! KB Q815427 this goes to a Hot Fix that has solved the problem. Apparently this is also included in SP2.
