A friend has a dial-up ISP account on his XP machine. Each time he starts up Outlook Express the dial up box pops up. Ok so far. He has the 'save password' box checked so that he shouldnt have to type his password in each time.
However, the password box always contains more characters than are in his password. If he tries to connect directly the connection fails. He has to re-type his password every time despite the 'save password' being checked.
I have looked at the security settings for the dial-up and it has 'allow unsecured password' selected. What else would be causing this problem?
