I have another problem I was hoping would go away but it is not. When I try to use Dial Up Networking to connect to an ISP it is not connecting.
I can hear the dial tone, the computers talking, and then the silence. It then sits there and doesn't connect. Then tries to redial.
I have checked the timeout(60sec.), checked network tcp/ip, checked number, name and password. I even deleted everything and reinstalled the dial up adapter and network settings. I even tried reinstalling Windows. I have tried different ISP's and all do the same. I am lost. I would be thankful for any ideas.
The same day I believe this began I did use partition magic and installed pcanywhere. I don't know if this could have anything to do with it. I have uninstalled PCanywhere till I resolve this problem.
