I have a problem when dialing up my ISP (NTL World if anyone knows it).
When the machine first boots the first time I connect to the Internet it connects. No problem.
If I disconnect and reconnect it gets to the "Verifying username and password" dialog boxs and just refuses to connect. The only difference I've noticed is the first time I connect the dialog box briefly displays something about "opening port" or a similar message about ports which does not appear when I can't connec.
This is using COM1 and a 3Com USR 56k Professional Message Modem.
I used the same service under Windows 98 and have never had a problem like this. Any ideas?
