my remote station is running on win98 & my dial-up servr is running on win2000servr. my problem is, when i dial from my remote pc, instead of supplying username & password only, im also asked of the domain. i dont need to log-in to my network, i only need to connect to the internet. another pc can connect by just deleting the domain name. i already unchecked the "Log on to network." an xp station on the other hand can login without problems. what did i miss?

not sure I umderstand correctly, but
You may need to use the 2K server as a Proxy server to the Internet...the 98 client can be configured to use the 2K as a Proxy, therefore bypassing the Network....
IE Options > Connectons tab > Proxy settings

Using IE?
and 98SE?
