Dial up connection in Safe Mode

If I start XP in safe mode there are no "Dial Up" settings loaded, what is required to establish a "Dial Up" connection in Safe Mode?

The drivers need to be loaded for your modem, which isn't done in Safe Mode.

It can be done in safe mode with networking though.

Thank you both for your replies, I thought that it might be possible by activating some of the stopped services etc. At least I know for sure now that I can forget this particular course of action.

ah woops, did not know that. Thanks for the correction linney as I had assumed since broadband worked that dial up would. lol should have known better to assume. Oh well live and learn.
