Whenever I log onto my computer, the dial up box is prompting to connect, cancel the box and it opens up a couple more times, receive same thing everytime I log on. Is there a way to disable the log on box from prompting each time I log on. Thanks for any replies.

control panel>> internet options> connections tab. change setting to "never dial a connection".

hope this helps.

This did take away the box from prompting, but now when I try to connect to the Internet, it does not bring up the box, it's like it is trying to connect through proxy.

You'll need to manually bring up the dial-up connection window and run it. It's under COntrol Panel, Network connections. You can drag a shortcut to your desktop for easier access if you want.
