Dial shortcode on offhook!

Hello!

I would like to have one of my extension do the following;

As soon as i lift the handle on my Plantonics CS65 headset (without any dialpad), i want it to make a call steal from my main phone. So that when my phone rngs, i can just lift the "handle" on my headset, and it will automatically steal the call from my phone.

The feature is called HOTLINE on other pbx´es, but i cant get it to work on my IPO. any ideas?

If it's effectivly a DECT handset , why don't you simply twin the Extn and then going off hook will answer the call, or put it in a collective ring group

@TheTaker, that should't work...well according to the docs anyway it only works with Dial shortcodes, another usefull bug?

It was 4.2.14 I was trying it on.

@ Amriddle: i like to have twinning to my mobile. And ipo cannot have a twinned DECT handset AND a mobile enabled at the same time...which by the way is totally stupid.....

So thats why i cant do that! Should you have smome idea as how to twin to both a mobile and a dect handset, then please share!

I dont understand that this cannot be done, to me it sounds quite simple! But then again, im no guru yet...

No secret method I'm afraid, other than making a collective group and giving that your current extn number and using the leave action for the group to drop any VM into your main handsets VM box

just upgraded to 4.2.14 and confirmed that it works.

A user short code ?D can be used to perform a short code action immediately the user extension goes off-hook. This is supported with Dial type short code features (except Dial Direct Hotline). Typically it is used with door, lift and lobby phones to immediately connect the phone to a number such as the operator or reception.

So in fact if I had RTFM properly I would have seen it says shortcode action and supports Dial not only Dial shortcodes
