Can someone help me figure out the feature to have the dial out to an external number changed to 9? Thanks

I appreciate your help, but I'm not really sure how to get to that or how to change it. I don't generally play around with the phones, but I wanted to fix something and managed to make things worse, and that's one of my problems but there's a whole slew of issues I'm trying to fix and I don't really know what you mean by your response, any way you could step by step it? TIA

Sounds like you should call a local vendor to help you out some if your having issues that you cannot resolve on your own. To give a little more detail to my first response. Your lines need to be set into a pool i.e. line pool a with a access code. If you have a T-1/PRI circuit then you would have your lines programmed into a route with a dest. code. There is a few steps in making this happen, do you even know how to get into programming? Do you know your systems pswd?

Yes, I do know our password and how to get into programming, sadly that's how I ended up "breaking" the phones by playing around trying to fix something else. We do have a line pool A, and our main line is think is the I/C. Not 100% sure what either is. I know that we don't use Hunt Groups but for some reason when I messed up the phones we weren't receiving calls so then I read up on it thought the Hunt Groups will work and it sort of did because we receive calls but only one line/handset is capable of picking up (answering).

Inbound:
Assign each line to Appear and Ring at desired sets, usually reception.

If you use Hunt Group then remove lines from phones or you will have issues.

Oubound:
Prime to Intercom, Prime is what happens when you pickup the handset.

Pool - look under System Programming/Access Codes and change A to 9.

A tech can fix all this in a heart beat.....you need to be careful when changing programming because it effects other items.

Thank you.

We didn't used to use the hunt groups, I'd like to remove them and get back to regular programming but I must have done something that changed how we accept calls.

Regarding the access codes, I've been in there and I try to put 9 but it doesn't give me the option. Either NONE or 8, and if I choose NONE we can't call out on anything.

Most probably we will have a tech come out but the guys we usually call are super expensive and charge 2 hr min, esp for something like yo said can be fixed in a heartbeat.

By the time you finish reading this post a qualified tech could have up and running properly. Stop trying to save face and call in a pro. You're wasting company time and money.
