Is it possible for remote users to dial in and get a tone so they can dial out again so that the eventual recipient of the call receives the switch CLIP?

Yes it is called a DISA module and needs to be custom built in voicemail pro and works best password protected or your phone bill might get a bit higher then intended.

or get some mobility licenses :)

Or use phonemanager in Telecomuter-mode if a network connection to the IPOffice is available.

Thanks guys.

How about on Argent Office?

The same as above only you need to replace the Argent with the IP Office first :)....seriously though I am sure it works in pretty much the same way on the Argent Office not sure about the features available/names of features though :)

I thought that was amusing too!

Seriously though, can this be done on a Network Alchemy Argent Office?

with that your only option will be westis. you cant have telecommuter or mobility licenses on the argent. It should provide you with what you need though. it is a bit of a security risk so be sure to manage the pin code regularly and check who is using it so they dont take the p***.

i must admit i abuse my mobility license for expensive calls.

Westi's suggestion in the first two posts :)

lol sorry. as Amriddle said, Westi posted in the first 2 posts. Thats the only way i see it working for you. I have only played with the alchemy once or twice. Too much rebooting. :)

oh please let me be right for once :)
I will circle that day in the calendar and refer to it as "the day I was right" and I will celebrate that every year with my family.
Actually my wife needs to know that I was right so I print out this thread and put it on her pillow :p

So I can't do DISA.

Here's another idea. Can I dial in on a DDI that will allow me to dial an extension number to route the call?

Possibly, you would have to specify the number in programming though rather than dialling it once in the system. Also you are potentially leaving yourself wide open to toll fraud by doing this :)

I can identify the inbound CLI in an incoming call route so only authorised users can dial in???

Can anyone please help me with programming?

then I can do it too, because I can spoof caller ID's from my SIP lines
I missed why you can't do the DISA module?
Do you have Voicemail Pro on your system? Then make a point in your auto attendant and send that to a menu that has $ as the only entry and send that to a transfer that has $KEY as target. Password protect the menu that has the $ with digits of your choice and you should be ok.
The way it works is you dial the auto attendant then press the number to get to the menu, enter the password and then enter the number you want to dial.

Westi, sorry if I have wasted your time by not explaining fully.

I have a Network Alchemy Argent Office. I do not have VM Pro.

You won't manage DISA on an alchemy without Voicemail Pro.

best look on ebay (either for an IPO or for an alchemy vm pro disk)

If you buy the voicemail pro it is important that you get an original disk, as this acts as your licence. If you get a copied disk, you are being ripped off!

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
