Hello
Can anyone tell me how to effectively disconnect a user that dials-in from out of town to my server when he goes idle. I have set the timeout setting on the modem properties of the server, but when I connect and leave the laptop idle it never disconnects me.
I am curious as to why when I bring up the properties of the dial-up connection it shows I am sending and recieving packets when all I am doing is sitting idle at my desktop. Could Norton antivirus be sending packets to the connected client ?
I have had users dial-in and then forget about their connection (one was connected for over 500 minutes)I would like to ensure my boss that this wont happen again.
Thanks in advance
