Dial in Conference calls 1

We use Conference meet me on the IP Office. We are trying to use it after hours and set it up so we can dial directly into from the outside. Currently we use short code *75 internally to a specific conference number. We would like to set aside a DID and use it for dialing directly into a conference call. I have tried a few different things without success. A lot of these we do after hours without an operator available to transfer the caller into the conference. Any suggestions on setting this up to dial directly into it? THANKS

if they are set up in the voicemail as modules then make the destination on your incomming call rute like VM:module name. the spelling must be the same.

create a voicemail module (Conference), connect the start point to a check digits action (dont have to, but it never hurts to have an extra step of security), have that connect to an Assisted Transfer action with *75 (internal conf short code) as the mailbox number in the Assisted Transfer.

then create an icoming call route with VM:Conference

Using a VMP transfer action to a number with a "*" tends to break often. I think Avaya does it to bug us but that is just my opinion.

You'll want to import the Shortcode.csv to create the associated sort codes and you'll need to create the user variables of varConfPass1 through varConfPass6 to store the passwords. Put the .wav files in {drive}:\Program Fiels\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Wavs\{locale}\Custom where {drive} is probably C or D and {locale} is probably ENU or EN.

Thank you all for the help. gknight i had originally set it up like you suggested.. but i used a direct transfer instead of an assisted transfer. I changed it to an assisted transfer and it works smooth as silk.. I appreciate the help. Mr. Holladay, i will i appreciate the link and i WILL read it thoroughly. I always like learning more.. This is an excellent tool.
