I am new in IT world.

Recently i got an ISDN line. Now I want to give dial in access to my domain users from remote location.
Users can access his network drive from his home as he is working in my office primises.
I need to know following:

1. Software?
2. Hardware (if any needed)
3. Users settings?
4. Domain settings?

What steps i should take to accomplish this task?

Any help will highly appreciated.

FIrst, install an ISDN modem on your server,
next set up Routing and Remote access,
configure the port on which your ISDN adapter is installed for inbound RAS
then allow your users to have remote access,
and then try... I have not failed, I just found 10000 ways that don't work

Hi Opensky,
You have a great nick.Just do what Peterve told you and keep in mind that you have two ways to setup policy. You can use RAS policy or GPO policy to set rights. On each user property sheet, ras applet in AD U&Comp you can set up dial permissions.Or you can use GPO wich is better.
Use PPTP instead of L2TP if you dont need Tunnel authetication.Create dial connection for VPN or ISP.
Configure inbound(RRAS) and outbound(DUN) connections.
When you set up VPN server(if thats one you need)configure VPN ports through RRAS.
NOTE:To use RRAS you must enable it, but if you disable it in any time you lose config.

Hope it is helpfull.
