Hope this manes sense..

when using the "Directory" button on our phones to search for an extension by typing in the user's name..say I land on the name i want. Is there a feature that will dial that number directly without having to manually dial their extension?

No biggie - I was just asked this question and I said "I dont think so".

Yes, the feature is call-disp. You configure the phone that has the directory feature with this feature. Once you are at the name that you want, just press the button with the "call-disp" feature.
Have fun.

Do to cha sta Ext# Go to the button Assignments for that Ext. The next button under your Directory Button type Next under you Next button Type Call Display. The Next button allows you to scroll thru the last names. For example your Company may have more then 1 person with the same last name of Smith the next key will allow you to scroll to the next name. Under the Next Key type in call display, this will allow you to call the name displayed in the directory. I hope this helps. :)

Beware that (at least on V8&V9) you cannot assign Call-Disp to a softkey--it must be a button. Dir can be a softkey.
