Dial by name to mailbox 1

I'm stumped. I have voicemail pro 7.0 (17) with a CCR tree option of 8 that takes callers to a menu allowing you to press 1 for dial by first name and 2 to dial by last name. Once the caller presses 1 (or 2)they are asked to dial by first name (or last for opt 2). The caller can dial the users first name and they hear the recorded name of the mailbox and they are asked to press 1 to accept this user. the caller presses 1 and then a moment of silence and the call is disconnected.

my call flow is as follows.
Dial by name= true to assisted transfer with $KEY under mailbox in the specfic tab.
Next Connects to LeaveMail with $KEY in the mailbox field under the specific tab.

The user in question doesn't have an physical phone, but the user is built with voicemail on and the name is recorded. see above call flow.

Any ideas?

Well first dump the assisted transfer.

Use a regular transfer action and if the user doesn't answer or has no phone the call is automatically diverted to voicemail.

that sir, did not work. any other thoughts? I built the call flow as described in the knowledge base, where they say to use assisted transfer.

Then "they" are idiots.

Download this:

Import only menuDBN and use that. If that doesn't work then something is wrong with your IP Office config and it is not a voicemail pro issue.

Okay, what I meant was export your module so I can see the programming on it. The picture looks okay, but that only tells half the story. Also, don't use assisted transfers. Use transfers for dial by name, as Kyle said.

You don't have anything like this which leads me to believe $KEY is either missing or perhaps has a space or something? It would be in "Assisted Transfer**" (Which as I said has absolutely no business in your call flow. This should be a regular transfer with $KEY on the Explicit tab)

Also my menuDBN in that download works for 6.0-8.0 so I don't know why you couldn't import it. Are you sure it said you CAN'T or was it just a notice?

Kyle, you cannot import a MDB file from a higher version.
You can however import modules without a problem.

What he downloaded was modules. And the modules were built on R6 and he has R7.

I think, as is human nature, some people see the notice/warning prompt come up that says something like "if you import this it will upgrade the file and you won't be able to use it on the older version" blah blah blah...but don't bother to read the actual content of the notification message.

That was alot of debug and paste for no reason. I don't know why i had so much trouble last week, but yesterday i removed the assisted transfer and replaced it with normal transfer with $KEY in the mailbox tab and it worked. I promise i tried that at least 3 times without sucess, maybe you were right i had a space or something goofy in there.

I also wonder why the knowledge base has Assisted transfer in the example, either way star for Kyle.
