diagnostic tools to help identify total system freeze

Hi all,

this is the system that i have built myself:
MSI - K8T Neo-FIS2R
AMD 3400+
1024 ddr
nvidia geforce 6800 gt (chaintech) version
sata 120gb hardrive

now the problem is that it keeps randomly freezing. does anyone know of some good diagnostic tools that might help identify problems.

just like STop freeze? or.. a thinking freeze.. or a blue screen crash?

have you checked to make sure all the fans are working?
Typicall when I have problems like this (and its home made) I do a tear down all the way to taking the cpu out of the mobo.. make sure everything is snug and in place.. no pins are bent.. give it a good once over

You need to confirm that you have all the proper mobo drivers installed as well as the latest video driver.
