Problem with DHCP on Avaya IP Phones. I have two VLans setup. 10.1.7.0 for Data. 172.30.1.0 for Voice. Using Windows 2003 Server for DHCP server. Data switch is a Extreme Summit 300 24. Have been having this problem when the phones bootup they recieve a IP address from the 10.1.7.0 network. They then recieve the Option 176 with the following string: L2Q=1,L2QVLAN=10. I have the bootp relay protocal enabled on the switch and pointed at the IP address of the DHCP server. After receiving a IP in the data VLan the phone then reboots and sends out a DHCP discover packet. With a packet analyzer on the DHCP server I see a packet broadcasted out tagged in Vlan 10 but then the server sends out a DHCP Offer to the bootp relay address 172.30.1.250 which is the VLan IP of the Voice VLAN. When I put the analyzer on the port of the phone the I don't see any DHCP offer comming from the switch.
