Hi All,

I have a 2620 that I'm using as a DHCP server. Is it possible to provide an IP in a range based on the VLAN's PVID tag that requested it? In other words, if the request comes from VLAN 5, I want 10.1.5.x as the IP. But if the request is from VLAN 20, I want 10.1.20.x instead.

Thanks!

I thought the Cisco DHCP Server would do that automaticly ... have you verified that it does not do ?

I believe you need to setup a scope for each Vlan, that way there are different IP's for each Vlan. You can also do it on a Win2k server, and it should assign an ip based on which Vlan it comes from.
I am actually getting ready to do this with server, so I would like to get more input on anyones experience doing this.
