DHCP (ip limitations) to others

How can i prevent other users ( in the same subnet)so they can't get my ip addresses in my DHCP server???? I don't have control over other computers in the same subnet (long story) but i don't want other users to get my ip's I know that the other NIC's are making requests and my DHCP is giving the ip's so what can i do????

How many clients do you have? Why can't you choose a different subnet? Is there a router between your physical network and theirs?

I think Glen thinks your refering to preventing those pc's from get a specific Ip from your server not any ip. Is that what you want or do you want all pc's on that subnet not to get a dhcp address from your server?

I think it will be hard to stop other clients in the same subnet from requesting and getting ip addresses from your DHCP server.My understanding of DHCP is that all clients broadcast for an IP address and any DHCP server on the same subnet will reply with either a ip address or a denial of ip address. If there are other clients on the same subnet when they request ban address they will get it. The workaround is to setup reservations for your clients,and exclude the remainder of the addresses.

1)Set your machine to use a fixed ip
