Greetings-
We've just installed a NAS and are moving Shares\files to it. One problem we've found is that all of our Group Policies that have software packages will be "broken" if we move them; the path to the installation files resolves to UNC. So someone came up with the idea of implementing DFS. To add to the excitement, we would have to implement this in 7 days.
We know very little about DFS design and implementation, only the basic concepts of what it's supposed to do.
Can someone please tell me why this is or isn't a fabulous idea? And will it even solve the Group Policy issue.
Thanx
