Detonator Drivers

lo guys, ive got a ti4200 gf4 card and when i installed any drivers (including Detonators and MSI one from there site above v30 the system will not boot, and hangs at the starting windows screen (blue bars half-3/4 along).

Any ideas?

xp1800
dirextX9
MSI ti4200
gigabyte 7zxe mobo
600 odd mb ram (pc133 :/)
Win 2k with all updates for everything apart from obvious graphx card

also any one know how to get rid of directx9 coz it sux

Could it be that your KT133A board is not DX9 compatible ?
As for removing DX, I am not sure if there is an uninstall option, but I generally format and reinstall Windows.

They still dont work with DX8.1 and a clean OS install.

Are you sure the card even works? Does it crash after Installing DX, or the card? Try using drivers from microsoft Windows Update.

The cards spott on with directx 8.1 and 9 but will not work with detonators and MSI original drivers over version 30.

Seems to me like bad driver/win2k problems, just cant seem to put my finger on it :/

An older motherboard like yours may have issues with the new GF4Ti.
Many manufactures have updated bios flash's that cure these problems, look on there site for bios updates and what those updates fix. Martin

so far ive:
clean installed with complete updates
installed newest mobo drivers
Updated mobo BIOS
updated graphics card BIOS
DX8.1 with v30 drivers ok and other above wont work
DX9 with v30 drivers ok and other above wont work
plus a few other things, so only can be mobo/graphics cards compatibility.

never mind, gives me an excuse to upgrade agian :/
