Determining processor speed without rebooting

Hello, everyone!

I'm interested to see if there is a Win utility that can determine clock cycles on a processor (eg, whether the Celeron is a 366 or 400), given that Properties only displays the flavor of processor. I am mapping out our LAN, and this data will be very inclusive, up to processor type, installed NIC, HDD size, etc.

I just hate to reboot each and every machine, just to get that one piece of info.

or just go into dxdiag if you have DX8.0a

You can also go to and search for clock speed or cpu speed and it will give you a list of many freeware utilities that work in windows and will fit on a floppy. Justin
