Hello,

I have a downloadpage with hyperlinks where you can download some .exe files.
How can I determine wether the clients have downloaded the product ? It they click on it, and click then on cancel, nothing has happened. Is such a control possible in asp ?

Thx...

You can see that in the W3SVC logfiles. You can find them in c:\winnt\system32\logfiles\

A tool to read them is 123loganalyzer.

I don't think logfiles will tell you what you want to know, since they only tell you about requests made, not specific files fully transferred.

There are various download managers out there, but I'm not aware of one that can tell the server it's done.

you could.... binary stream the file and when then stream is complete, redirect/update db, whatever.

hmmm, i think js could also handle it, but you may want to double-check the JS forum about it.
