Does anyone know of a software for Windows XP (preferrably one with a free license) that will detect and report any and all registry changes? Better yet (but not required), one that will detect and report all registry reads as well.

If not, how about a good registry comparitor? One that could save the registry now, then changes are made, and compare the saved copy with the current one?

Here's what I am trying to do, so maybe you have a different solution:
I'm trying to locate where a bunch of specific settings for different softwares are saved in the registry.

Thank you,

I have created a sevice that lets you specify any root or number of root nodes to monitor for any changes...would just need to put event logging of the access instead of a tool launch, and you have your service.

Hope this Helps.

ncotton,
That sounds like an interesting piece of software. Any chance you might share it with the rest of us (maybe for free)?
