Installed a five switch stack using 450s on the weekend. All appeared ok. This morning the stack has dropped out twice with the base lights flashing on the switches.
It has the latest firmware on. Any ideas ? Its a live environment with 80 servers in the stack !!!

Power up the base unit first then the others. Sounds like you may have a bad MDA. I have 250 plus 450s and out of that 15% DOA on uplinks and fiber moduals.

Thanks John,
It turned out to be a dodgy switch trying to become the base switch. Unfortunately release 4 of the firmware took down the whole stack when this happened. After back-revving to 3.1 the redundant feature worked and only the affected switch failed. We replaced the switch with a new one plus replacement MDA last night and its working fine today.
